ABOUT THE PURPLE MAP
The Turffontein Camp is in desperate need of clean sanitary facilities as well as improved living conditions. There are hundreds of displaced people living in the shelter, ranging from 6 month-old babies to elderly people.
We want to help bring a greater sense of dignity to this group of people in a dire time of need. Every action, every donation can be helpful.
We believe in the value of human rights, as well as the dignity of basic sanitation and water. That’s why we’ve committed to help fix the sanitation and living conditions, which will require at least R150 000 to clean and fix.
Thus far we have raised R25 000 from our Mandela Day fundraiser earlier in the year!
Proceeds from this donation are already being utilised to restore sanitary infrastructures at the Turffontein Camp.
All thanks to our donors and dedicated teammates!
